An unfortunate introduction
I traveled to North Carolina for work last week. While there, I was introduced to Yuengling, a beer.
Unfortunately, it is not distributed in Ohio. I guess I’m going to PA sometime.
We had an awesome wedding on Sunday! I love you, Jeff!

Flowers
I just ordered our fresh flowers for the wedding! They are arriving on the Thursday before the wedding and I will be putting them together on the Friday before the wedding! They can sit in water and open up on Saturday and will look beautiful on Sunday!
We have a house!
at least an unfinished house in the correct place with correct dimensions
pics coming soon :)
Who would have thought...
It’s weird that a weekend apart did so much good for our relationship :) Who would have thought that strippers (bachelor party) and clubbing (bachelorette party) in different cities would bring us even closer?
We plan on doing this every year with some close friends. We all had such a great time!
House Update
We finally broke ground yesterday - almost a whole month after our permit was approved. In contrast, the house that is being built next door broke ground this past Monday (8/3) with a permit approval date of 7/28.
I don’t think we will ever know why it took so long to dig our house but it was probably pretty convenient for the builder to dig the neighbor’s house first (because...

Catwalk
So my cat, Arnie has this thing about walking over my computer keyboard. Even though it’s kinda annoying when he randomly turns on CAPSLOCK or the video player, I have to laugh every time :-)
He’s so cute… he purrs while he does it.
i have a shitton of fresh peppermint, chives, and...
morimori-mori:
does ‘peppermint steak’ sound gross to everyone else besides me or could this work? or is the peppermint doomed to a life of just plain-up salads?
either way, if anyone wants any peppermint (cos our plant is like overgrowing) then ring me up, and by that i mean on tumblr because i dont like phones.
and i mean locally. sorry, mont people, i dont think you should ship herbs.

HP6
Compared to the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince book and other HP movies, I have to say that so far, I am very unimpressed by the latest movie. The plot diverged from the book too much in certain spots. I thought JKR had very strong reasons for having these certain parts the way they were and changing them just did not sit well with me. Esp since they would have fit into the movie just...

I actually have been knowing what kid names I like for like months and months and I’ve had my heart set on naming my kids this:
guy: gabriel or aiden / nathaniel girl: abigail. lul
guy: mathias, because his nickname would be ‘matt’, which is my dad’s name. so it’s like i’m paying homage, but without the confusion of having two matthews.

House Update
We are going to our design center appointment tomorrow. This is where we make all the color/non-structural decisions for the house in a 3-4 hour time period. We have about 10 days to make our final decisions then we cannot change anything.
Talk about pressure!
We are hoping to keep upgrades to a minimum and know what most of them will be and cost. Some main things we are upgrading are the...
fireworks!
morimori-mori:
they were pretty cool!
what wasn’t: the hour it took us to get home. normally this is a like… 7 minute drive.
Same here! We watched the fireworks from the top of the parking deck we parked in. We got to the car pretty quickly then got to sit in it in the deck for about 30 minutes. We finally got home a little after 11pm.
The fireworks were pretty cool though! Next year...

Busy Busy Busy
So it seems like we never stop having something to do. I can’t believe that I graduated almost 2 months ago! I am still busy as ever! I have soccer on Wednesday nights and every other night there seems to be something going on! The wedding is coming up quickly and there’s still a lot that needs done for that. We are also building a house and are breaking ground as soon as we get...

Breaking News!
I make a great pizza.
Also:
We have received the commitment letter from the bank and turned it into the builder.
We gave the builder the rest of our down payment.
Our lot is all staked and ready to break ground.
Wadsworth city, it’s up to you now.
We hope to break ground with the next week!
We will be homeowners in 120 days or less!
Thank you notes
I just finished making 14 thank you notes at Archiver’s which is a scrapbooking store here. The thank you notes will be for my wedding shower next weekend. I am anticipating needing more since I invited about 25 people. Once they get more of my paper in I will make more! :-)
Sick
So I had a great time at CP this past weekend for coastermania but now I am sick. Sore throat, chest congestion, the works. Jeff thought I could have H1N1, I think it might be walking pneumonia but I can’t go to the doctor because my health insurance doesn’t kick in until Thursday or Friday. I’ll stick to over-the-counter meds right now. Heading to the store to pick up some...

Sleepy Saturday
I fell asleep trying to read the warranty info on our new house. I guess all the excitment this morning made me quite tired this evening. I think my nap ended up being around 1-1/2 hours. I still feel tired and groggy.
I’d eat dinner but I’m trying to wait for Jeff to get home from a clarinet lesson that started at 5pm. So far, the lesson has been 2 hours. He texted me and said...
Homeownership
We are one step closer to becoming homeowners! Our new house will be done in approximately 5 months!
Today's Agenda
jeffysworld:
- Take the dog to get a haircut (the reason I’m up so early - the dog’s appointment is at 8am).
- Sign paperwork to build a house.
- Write largest check I’ve ever written.
- Take picture where our new home will be.
- Teach clarinet lesson
- Celebrate the excitingness by either playing mini-golf (free) or going to the Indians game (not free).
Well considering we are writting...
Excitement and anticipation
So we heard back yesterday that the builder accepted our second offer for the house! This means that we will not have to pay much if anything toward closing costs!
We do however have to get our down payment to them by Sunday. This means that I feel rather poor!
Tomorrow
jeffysworld:
We’ve got a trip to Cedar Point with our photographers to do our engagment photos.
We really may actually get married. It’s crazy.
Lol. Well I hope we “really may actually get married.” If not, we’ve wasted a lot of money!
